John F. Kennedy’s 1960 Campaign Brochure “A Time for Greatness,” Signed Next to His Photograph on the Cover

Obtained from the family of the recipient, who planned JFK’s Wisconsin visits during the campaign

When John F. Kennedy ran for president in 1960, his campaign produced a brochure entitled “A Time for Greatness.” The bottom portion read, “U.S. Senator John F. Kennedy for President”, and on the cover there was a photograph of Kennedy with the White House in the background. It was a popular and attractive brochure, and was widely disseminated as JFK traveled around the country campaigning.

Kennedy’s brochure, “A Time for Greatness,” signed on the cover to the left of his portrait. The recipient was a New Deal democrat who was active in planning for JFK’s Wisconsin visits, and he obtained this from Kennedy in person on a visit to Wisconsin. He also worked in the post office department under Kennedy and Johnson. We obtained this directly from his granddaughter and it has never before been offered for sale.
